Left Brain Prisoners

Left Brain Prisoners

Are we simply left brain prisoners?  David Icke believes so in 15 minute video, Left Brain Prisoners,” in fact we’re prisoners brought up by adults, who were themselves left brain prisoners!  Icke proposes our grooming to perform left brain tasks has left us incomplete, possibly, even fractured.  The rational thinking half, the left brain treats everything as objects and views self as apart from the world. We can start to break free of our left brain prison by utilizing our intuition – a facility residing in the right brain, according to Icke. The intuitive mind is about knowing and unity with and of the world. The present writer submits it may not be that easy?  Yes, some people may reawake their intuitive side after long neglect, but it may have dwindled?  The present writer suspects a biological substrate to the intuitive mind that atrophies with disuse, and possibly, ebbs so low little or no facility remains!  A web page devoted to topic defines two sides:  1) “The intellect expresses itself overwhelmingly through the left-brain, the part that deals in ‘physical’ reality and the sequential, ‘rational’, analytical and objective … can I see it, touch it, taste it, hear it or smell it? Okay, it exists, then. The left brain, or ‘intellect’, sees reality through the five senses and perceives the world in parts, not unity.” and 2) “The right brain, the balance for the intellect, deals with the random, intuitive, holistic, and subjective. Its perspective is one of unity, of free-flowing creativity and of infinity, not limitation.” The present writer would observe, most importantly, a person living through left brain will never find satisfaction in the world, only with balance from the intuitive mind can a person find contentment.
